Interview with Xiran Jay Zhao, Author of Iron Widow // Writing Advice, Anime, & More

I’m very excited for today’s post (which is my first in a long time… I’ll address that at the end of the post)!

If you’re on book twitter or maybe YouTube, you probably know Xiran Jay Zhao, author of Iron Widow, coming Fall 2021! I think that they’re one of the funniest people on the Internet, and I highly recommend following one of their social accounts if you haven’t yet—not only will you laugh, but you’ll probably also learn an interesting tidbit about Chinese history. Iron Widow is one of my and many other people’s most anticipated 2021 releases, and I’m so thankful that I got the chance to interview Xiran. (This is the first in what I hope to be a series of author interviews on my blog—exciting!)

September Wrap-up // School Ate All My Time, But I Was Surprisingly Able to Write!!

Hi, long time no see.

It’s been two weeks since my last post, and I usually post at least once a week so this is weird for me. Sorry for disappearing! Books I Plan to Read in September, ft. Raybearer, You Deserve Each Other, & More!

I’m posting something low-effort because school is killing me, look away.

I’m sure you’ve had enough of me complaining about school, so I’ll spare you the excuses! Today I’m just gonna list a few books I plan to read in the rest of September. I am 0% certain that I’ll manage to finish all of these before the month ends, but a girl can dream. (Also, I need to step up my reading game because The Starless Sea put me behind on my reading challenge. 🙃 I’m sure you’re judging me for not just lowering it but I’m too competitive for that okay.)

August Wrap-up // Starting School, Burning Out, & Being on TV??

Just like that, another month of 2020 is gone.

I’m such a broken record, but wow, August flew by in a blink! I don’t even wanna know how long it’s been since I left my house lmao. But, keeping with my promise to highlight one issue that needs attention in all my monthly wrap-ups, please consider donating to a colon cancer charity in order to honor Chadwick Boseman. Here is a thread of charities.
