What It Takes For Me to Rate a Book 5 Stars // What I Look for in Characters, Plot & More, ft. Examples!

As you may or may not know, I almost never rate books 5 stars.

I could write a whole post about why that is (and I might), but for now, I’ll just talk about what impossibly high standards a book must reach in order for me to give it the highest rating possible. I’ll be breaking this post down into sections entitled “plot”, “writing”, “characters”, etc., where I’ll talk about what I look for in each and how much this particular aspect of a book affects my rating. Guessing 2020 Book Release’s Plots Based on Nothing But Their Covers // In Which My Dreams of Becoming a Psychic Crash & Burn

The saying goes, “You should never judge a book by its cover.”

Every single month passes by in the blink of an eye for me. ๐Ÿ˜‚ No kidding, at this rate, I’ll be an old woman before I know it, because time passes by SO quickly for me… Anyways, April was a month of highs and lows. But overall, I’d call it a good month—it was my first full month in quarantine (I’d like to say that I miss the outside world, but I don’t), and my second month of summer break, aka freedom!

All of the F/F Books I’ve Ever Read + F/F Books on My TBR!!

Book Twitter has been annoying me lately.

To be fair, it’s almost always annoying, but is it just me, or has April been worse than usual? Once in a while, someone on book twitter tweets about how “there are no f/f books” or “there are no good f/f books”, and I am t i r e d. Both of these takes are so wrong, and kinda rooted in misogyny if you think about it, but we won’t get into that here. Instead, I’ll just passive aggressively compile a list of all the f/f books I’ve ever read and want to read!
